We supplied a team member to
the development department of a blue chip client. He was commissioned
to write a document advising how to move the heavily-loaded department
towards object-based development and component reuse.
A strategy was developed and documented, along with a simple boilerplate
component and step by step instructions for implementing this into
the next project of each team member. Examples were supplied in all
of the languages used by the team.
A further strategic component was also suggested and partially developed
that would save the team lots of time and pain over the subsequent
months.
Finally, support was given to team members as they implemented the
components provided.
