Enquiries and contact information

When you use an enquiry form, the site records your name, contact details, organisation if supplied, the information you enter about the proposed change, the page used to send the enquiry and the version of this notice shown at the time. The information is used to assess and respond to your request and to manage any resulting business relationship.

The full enquiry is stored in the website enquiry database. Mick receives a limited email notification containing the enquiry reference, your name, organisation, reply email address and the source of the enquiry. The detailed message is not copied into that notification.

Enquiries that do not result in a client relationship are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Information needed for an ensuing business relationship may be retained for the applicable legal, accounting and operational periods.

To protect the form from abuse, the site temporarily stores a one-way hash derived from the submitting network address. The address itself is not stored with the enquiry, and rate-limit records are deleted after 24 hours.

If you email or telephone instead, the information you provide is used for the same purposes. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and analytics

An essential preference cookie records your cookie choice for 90 days. It is required so the site can remember whether you allow analytics. Changes to that choice are logged for up to 12 months against a keyed one-way identifier derived from the network address. The address itself is not stored in the cookie-choice log.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure page visits, scrolling, outbound-link clicks, form interactions and successful enquiry submissions. This helps Seismic Technology understand which pages and routes lead to genuine enquiries. Form contents, enquiry references and contact details are not sent to Google Analytics.

Analytics data associated with cookies and device identifiers is retained for 14 months and is not extended when a visitor returns. Google signals, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are disabled.

You can review or change your choice at any time on the cookie settings page.
